...bitte Platz zu nehmen...

So, weil ich mal Pause vom Aussen brauchte hab ich mich auf den Weg nach Innen gemacht, und geguckt, was da so los ist. Ein lohnendes Unterfangen, wie ich berichten kann. Eine Erkenntnis ist auf jeden Fall, daß mein Blog mir sehr am Herzen liegt. Die Begegnungen , die Fotos, die Texte; das alles macht mich froh und ergibt Sinn. Morgen gehts an dieser Stelle auch mit frischen Bildern weiter, und ich freu mich drauf. Bis dahin seid ihr herzlich eingeladen Platz zu nehmen, und euren Gedanken freien Lauf zu lassen. Welche Themen treiben euch um in diesen Tagen? Und welche guten Tipps und Anregungen, welche Kritik und Seitenblicke, kurz; welches Feedback habt ihr für mein liebstes Lieblings-Projekt- meinen Blog? So, because I needed a break from the outside I went inside, and too a look what is going on in there. A worthwhile undertaking, as I can promise. One insight is definitely that this blog is really important to me. The meetings, the photos, the words I write, all this makes me happy and makes sense to me. Tomorrow this all will be continued, and I 'm looking forward for it. Till then all of you are friendly invited to take a seat, and to give full scope on your thoughts. Zum Glockenspiel

T. kommt aus Japan, macht eine Woche Urlaub in Köln und ist gerade auf der Suche nach dem 4711 Glockenspiel. Das schreibt sich hier so leicht hin; es zu verstehen war ungleich schwieriger, und so zeige ich ihm nur gestenreich den Weg, ohne von Chang's tollem Kleid zu erzählen. Und auch ohne zu fragen was er so macht im Leben, und - ja, seine Frisur hätte mich auch interessiert.

T. is from Japan and visits cologne for a week. When I meet him he is looking for the 4711 Glockenspiel. It's easy to write it down now, but was unlike much harder to understand. And so I just show him the way, explaining it with my hands, without mentioning Chang's wonderful dress. And without asking him what he is doing in life, and...yeah- his haircut would have interested me as well.

Rio - Köln

Dieser wunderbaren Dame renne ich in eine Einkaufspassage hinterher, und freue mich sehr, daß sie für ein Foto wieder mit rauskommt. Sie erzählt mir, daß sie in den 60er Jahren geheiratet hat; einen Schauspieler aus Brasilien, mit dem sie lange dort gelebt hat. Auch sie hat auf der Bühne gestanden; "Ich habe bei Theaterstücken und Shows mitgewirkt, wenn mein Akzent es zugelassen hat..." Sie hat auch fotografiert und mit dem bekannten Theaterfotografen Kurt Julius zusammengearbeitet. Das alles klingt nach einem bunten Leben; inzwischen sind sie und ihr Mann nach Deutschland zurückgekehrt, und der 50 Hochzeitstag steht kurz bevor.

I run after this wonderful lady while she is entering a shopping-mall, and luckily she agrees to come out with me for a photo. She tells me, that she married back in the 60ies; an actor from brazil, where they were living together for a long time. She herself has been on stage as well; "I performed in plays and shows, if my accent would let me. And she has been working as a photographer also, together with the famous theatre-photographer Kurt Julius. All this sounds like living live to it's fullest; meanwhile she and her husband returned to germany, and the 50th wedding anniversary is coming soon.

Kurz oder lang

Nhu ist 17 und geht in Köln zur Schule. Mode ist ihr ganz wichtig, und sie möchte Modedesignerin werden. Genaue Plän hat sie noch nicht, aber japanische Designer findet sie toll; "Die sind so einfallsreich, und Japan ist sowieso toll - das Land, die Menschen..."
Und weil mich heute ein Team von FrauTV beim fotografieren begleitet hat, sind sogar 2 Kameras auf Nhu gerichtet. Die zeigt sich davon aber mehr oder weniger unbeeindruckt , und schlägt sich wacker.
So, nun hab ich also auch die aufregenden Neuigkeiten verraten... Selbstverständlich bin ich enorm gespannt auf den Beitrag, der vermutlich Ende März zu sehen sein wird. Ich geb' natürlich rechtzeitig Bescheid...

Nhu is 17 and goes to school in cologne. Fashion is her favorite topic, and she wants to become a fashion-designer. Yet she doesn't excactly know how she will go for it, but she is inspired by japanese designers; "They are so imaginative, and I love Japan anyway; the country... the people..."
And because today a camera-team of FrauTV joined me on my photo-stroll Nhu even had to deal with 2 cameras. But, more or less, she seemed to be unimpressed by this, and bravely kept striking a pose.
So, now you know my exciting news I was talking about before... Of course I'm curiously waiting for the result, which probably will be broadcastet at the end of march.

Park(a)

Andreas trägt gerade sein Mittagessen durch die Welt, als ich ihn, mit meinem Fahrrad aus der Haustür kommend, vom weitergehen abhalte. Er ist Inneneinrichter und arbeitet im Bonner Magazin. Und weil mich am gestrigen Tag kurz vorher eine aufregende Neuigkeit ereilt hat, rede ich bei unserer Begegnung glaube ich mehr als er, wie ich nun beim schreiben festellen muss... Worum es dabei geht werde ich hier auch noch verraten; vorerst mach ich's noch ein bisschen spannend, und verweise statt dessen auf Quadrophenia, den Film an den ich bei Andreas Anblick und vor allem seinem Parka denken muss; bei aller (anzunehmender) Unähnlichkeit...

Andreas cruises around with his lunch when I, leaving home with my bike, can make him stop for a moment. He works as an interior decorator at the Magazin. And since I had some surprising and exciting news yesterday a moment before, I seem to talk more than him during our short meeting, as I now have to admit... What these news are all about I will surely let out soon, but till then I keep it cryptic. So for now I just drop a hint on Quadrophenia, the film on which Andreas and especially his parka remind me. Involving all (presumable) dissimilarity...

Frau in Blau

" 'Das trägt man jetzt nicht mehr'; wenn ich das schon höre... Man sollte immer das tragen , was einem am besten steht, oder gefällt!" sagt diese Dame gut gelaunt und enthusiastisch. Ihre Meinung kommt nicht von ungefähr; 30 Jahre lang hat sie ein Modegeschäft in Köln geführt, und reichlich Erfahrung gesammelt im Beraten von Kundinnen. "...aber kurze Röcke tragen im Sommer, das ist eben nur bis zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt vorteilhaft..." fügt sie hinzu.
Die Sache mit dem Blog findet sie toll, und spontan willigt sie sofort ein, als ich nach einem Foto frage. Beim Abschied winkt sie noch, und wünscht mir viel Glück und Erfolg.

" That's not dated any longer; when I hear such nonsense... One always should wear what suits him best, or what one likes most" this lady says cheerful and enthusiastic. Her opinion is profound; for about 30 years she was running a fashion-store in cologne, and has gathered a lot of experiences in giving advice to costumers. "...but wearing short skirts at summer...that`s only convenient up to a specific date in life..." she smiles.
She likes the blog-thing, and agrees spontaneously, when I ask for a picture. She waves goodbye with a funny smile, and wishes me success and luck.

The audience is watching

Daniel ist Realisator. Er realisiert Fernsehsendungen. Als ich ihn anspreche ist er mit seinem Team am drehen, das allerdings überschaubar genug ist, daß ich mich noch trauen kann zu stören. Außerdem bedient er nicht die Kamera; der Kameramann scheint zu wissen was er drehen soll denn er dreht fleissig vor sich hin, und so ist Zeit für ein schnelles Foto. Wir müssen nur aufpassen, daß wir nicht im Bild sind. Die Teamkollegen die grade nichts zu tun haben reissen ihre Witzchen, und ich finde Daniel hält sich tapfer. Ich übrigens auch; ist nicht so ohne mit Publikum.

Daniel works on TV-shows; he is something between director and producer. When I approach him he is shooting with his team, which is small enough to encourage me disturbing them. Moreover he doesn't hold the camera, the cameraman seems to be well instructed; he is busy with filming. So Daniel has a short moment for a quick photo; we only have to take care not to be in frame. The team-members who have time to watch us are making their jokes, and I have to admit that Daniel anyway is doing well. Me too, besides; it's not so easy with an audience.

Ein Kleid und seine Geschichte

Neulich bin ich bei meinem Spaziergang durch die Stadt an diesem schönen Kleid von Chang13 vorbeigekommen. Ich war sofort begeistert; Kölner Modedesign und die Kölner Traditionsmarke 4711 gemeinsam vereint in einem Kleid. Als ich das Windowshoppingfoto hier posten wollte, hab ich dann innegehalten und überlegt wie die Geschichte zu diesem Kleid wohl ist. Und so hab ich mich gestern wieder auf den Weg zum Laden gemacht um nachzufragen. Ich hatte Glück; Chang war selbst da und 2 Dinge sag ich mal vorweg; er ist ein höchst angenehmer Gesprächspartner und er redet seeehr schnell. Alle Kollektionsteile, so erfahre ich, sind aus den klassischen 4711 Seidentüchern entstanden. Auch die Stiefel, Kopfbedeckungen und Korsagen; entsprechend verstärkt. Chang's Intention: ein Stück Stadtgeschichte mit modernem Modedesign zu verbinden. Hier gehts weiter...

The other day, when I was on my city-stroll, I came across this beautyful dress of Chang13. Immediately I was enthralled; Cologne fashion-design and a traditional brand of cologne, 4711, newly united in a dress. When I was ready to post my window-shopping-pic I paused to think about the background-story of this dress. And so yesterday I went back to the shop to ask for it. Lucky me; I met Chang himself. Let me mention two things first; he is a very pleasant dialog partner, and he is a speedy speaker. All the pieces of the collection are made out of the classical silk scarfs of 4711. Even the boots, the hats and corsages, adequate strengthened by adding other materials. Chang's intention: combining a piece of the city history with modern fashion-design. Read more....

Auf zu neuen Ufern...

Jenny ist ganz neu in Köln, studiert gerade fertig, und hat einen interessanten Berufswunsch; sie möchte in die Entwicklungshilfe; "...aber in einer Non-Government Organisation" das ist ihr wichtig. Seit kurzem arbeitet sie nebenbei in Bonn bei der Welthungerhilfe. "Da bin ich zwar mehr Aushilfe, aber ich lerne total viel über die Arbeit." Mittelamerika interessiert sie, und auch Indien; da war sie auch schon zusammen mit einer Freundin.
Die Welthungerhilfe setzt sich derzeit übrigens mit der Aktion "Ein H für Haiti" für eine kontinuierliche Hilfe für Haiti ein, unterstützt von zahlreichen Stars der deutschen Filmszene.

Jenny is quite new in cologne; she's finishing her studies at the moment and has an intersting career aspiration; she wants to work in a development aid agency; "...but it has to be a non-government-organisation" she says. Since a short while she works temporary at the "Welthungerhilfe" in Bonn, where she does some assisting work "...but I can learn a lot about this kind of work." She mostly is interested in central america, or india, where she already has been with her friend.
The Welthungerhilfe besides is working on a continuous help-program for Haiti at the moment, supported by a large number of german actors and filmmakers.

Weitblicke...

...lautet an diesem Freitag der Ausruf beim Ehrenwort, und ab 18 Uhr gibt's dann dort die gesammelten Werke aller beteiligten Blogs zu sehen. Ich hab mal meine Brillensammlung durchforstet und ein paar der schönsten Modelle bereitgelegt, die beim weit blicken helfen und auch noch für einen schönen Anblick sorgen. Mein Problem ist nur, daß ich beim besten Willen nicht entscheiden kann, ob ich das obere oder das untere Bild nehmen soll. Ein bißchen Zeit ist ja noch, und ich freu mich über Feedback...

The only question I'm not able to decide yet, is which picture I shall choose. Above or below? Well, some time is left till 6 and I'll be glad about some help...

Kultur umsonst

In den letzten Tagen habe ich auf der Straße so einige Frauen gesehen bei deren Anblick ich bedauernd dachte, daß das Lifting aber gründlich schief gegangen ist. In Würde altern; die Zeichen der Zeit nicht verleugnen- das ist kein Rentner-beige-Urteil, sondern in meinen Augen beruhigend authentisch. Frau H. hat Spaß daran sich schön zu kleiden, und sieht heute "ganz zivil aus", wie sie sagt. Sie kauft nur wenn sie findet, und nie weil sie sucht. Als ich sie treffe, kommt sie gerade aus der Kölner Philharmonie vom Mittags-Probenkonzert; Messiaen wurde gegeben. Kein leichter Stoff, aber sie schwärmt; auch vom Dirigenten, der dem Konzert erklärende Worte vorangestellt hat. Genau wie die Incredible Lady weiß sie wo es in Köln Kultur umsonst gibt; sie empfiehlt mir die Musikhochschule und die Shopping-Konzerte im Funkhaus; nicht nur für ausgemachte Klassikfans.

I've seen quite some women on the street during the last days, on whose view I couldn't help thinking regretfully, that their facelifting radically went wrong. To age gracefully; not to deny the signs of the times, that has not to mean a retiree-grey-beige-decision, but seems to be relaxing authentic, to my mind. Mrs. H. likes to dress up nicely, and today she looks "quite conservative" as she says. She only buys when she discovers, never searching something special. When I meet her, she just comes out of the cologne philharmonic, listening to the noon-rehearsal-concert; Messiaen has been performed; no easy-listening. But she gushes about it, aswell about the maestro, who found some explaining words before. Like the incredible lady she knows where to find cultural events for free: she recommends the conservatory and the shopping-concerts at the Funkhaus, not only for consummate classic fans.

Grün ist die Hoffnung...

...und bei lauer Luft und Sonnenschein ist in mir heute die Hoffnung auf einen nahenden Frühling erwacht. Meiki hofft daß sie einen schönen Ort findet, an dem ihr - derzeit noch geheimes- Projekt eine passendes Zuhause findet, und noch kryptischer kann ich nun wirklich nicht schreiben, über diese wie ich finde vielversprechende Idee; alles Gute noch mal von hier aus. Meiki's Brille ist übrigens aus Holz, gekauft bei einem Optiker mit Leib und Seele in Ehrenfeld. Mehr schöne Brillenmodelle aus Holz hab ich bei Urban spectacles gefunden, und weitere ungewöhnliche Holzdesigns beim Superhelden (toller Name...). So und nun noch; in den schnieken Turnschuhen stecken handgestrickte Socken von Mama!

Hope is colored green we say in germany, and in me the hope for an upcoming spring was raised, breathing the todays mild air in bright sunshine. Meiki hopes to find a nice place, where her, currently kept secret, project can find a perfect home. Just to tell as cryptic as possible about the promisingly idea... Good luck, and all the best!! Meiki's glasses are made out of wood, bought at an optician with heart and soul in cologne. More wooden glasses you find at Urban spectacles, and at Superheld you find more unusual wood-designs. And last but not least; the socks in her lovely sneakers are handmade by mom!

Am Aschermittwoch...

Musik Dickus Dankert

...ist alles vorbei; so singen es die Karnevalisten. Vorher aber wird noch der Nubbel verbrannt. Der Nubbel muß für alle Sünden büßen, die er gar nicht selbst begangen hat. Wer also meint während der Karnevalszeit Schuld auf sich geladen zu haben, darf sie auf den armen Kerl aus Stroh abwälzen, der sein Dasein zuvor draussen, hängend über den Kneipen, fristen muss. Um Mitternacht dann gehts ihm an den Kragen; zuerst wird die Anklage gegen ihn formuliert, dann kommt das Feuer, daß ihm den Garaus macht, und die Menge johlt.
Am Mittwoch Morgen kehrt das normale Leben wieder ein; auch hier. Zum guten Schluß aber gibts noch mal neue Fotos in der Slideshow oben, und der Vollständigkeit halber obendrein noch das Video und die erste Slideshow, für all die, die es noch nicht gesehen haben.

At ash wednesday it's all over, the carnivalist's are singing. But before the 'Nubbel" has to be burned. The 'Nubbel' has to atone for sin's he isn't responsible for. Anyone who thinks that he incurred guilt may pass this on the man out of straw, who before lives his short live hanging outside, above the doors of bars. At midnight he's in for it; first the bill of indictmant is announced, then the fire finish's him off. The crowd is watching and hooting. At wednesday morning the normal live takes place again, as well at my blog. But coming to a good end you find some new pictures in a slideshow above, and for the sake of completeness; the video and the first slideshow, for all of you, who didn't watch them yet.

Horizonterweiterung

So, es ist soweit; kaum treibt man sich von früh bis spät auf dem Karneval herum, macht ungezählte Bilder, nimmt ein kleines Video auf, verbringt den ganzen Sonntag damit daraus einen Film zu schneiden, und hatte dabei auch noch richtig Spaß, wird schon ein schöner Bericht draus. Und den könnt ihr nun bei Two for Fashion sehen, in deren Auftrag ich meinen Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung leisten kann, und den Kölner Karneval aus meiner Sicht und von seiner, für mich, schönsten Seite zeigen darf.
Für das Video habe ich Stylistin Natalia Witschke vom Kleiderreich interviewt und war auf dem Geisterzug unterwegs, der dieses Jahr durch die Südtadt gezogen ist.
Außerdem hab ich mir helfen lassen bei meinem allerersten Video; gänzlich unerfahren was dieses Medium angeht nun also eine tiefe Verbeugung an Dickus und Raphael, mit denen ich den ganzen gestrigen Tag im Schnitt verbracht habe. Dickus hat obendrein den Geisterzug gedreht, während ich dort fotografiert habe. Ich hab viel gelernt in diesen Tagen und auf's schönste meinen Horizont erweitert. Danke, Danke, Danke!

The time has come; since I have been spending all day and all night at the cologne carnival in the last days, making hundreds of photos, doing a little interview, taping a small video, spending the whole sunday editing the video, and moreover having a lot of fun it's finally done: my cologne-carnival special for Two for fashion, where you now can find my post. By order of them I can do my bit for the understanding among citizens; showing the cologne carnival from my personal point of view, in it's own beauty.
I interviewed the stylist Natalia Witschke from Kleiderreich, and visited the ghost-parade, which took place in the Südstadt this year.
And I asked for help for my very first video; completely inexpierenced with this work now my deep bow for Dickus and Raphael, who have spend the whole sunday with me, cutting the video. Dickus moreover filmed the ghost-parade while I was shooting there. I learned a lot in these days, and really broadened my horizon. Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!

Disco Queen

Der Karneval in Köln hat mich doch mehr auf Trab und in Bewegung gehalten als ich vermutet hätte. Unentwegt war ich mit der Kamera unterwegs, hab an die 1000 Bilder gemacht und auch ein kleines Video gedreht. Und wer sich nun fragt, wo all die Bilder sind; morgen gibt es eine Auswahl zu sehen, allerdings nicht hier. Ich sag natürlich rechtzeitig Bescheid wo sie zu finden sind. Hier gibt's nun Anna zu sehen, die von der Kunst der minimalistischen Verkleidung inspiriert mit ein paar Accessoires und ein wenig Schminke "Disco" darstellt, wie sie sagt. Unerschrocken legt sie eine Jacke nach der anderen ab, als ich stets auf's Neue frage; "...aha..und was glitzert denn da noch hervor" und steht ohne ein Wort der Beschwerde seelenruhig in der Kälte. Ich hab immer so meine Lieblingsbilder, und das obere gehört auf jeden Fall dazu. Ich finde Anna sieht toll aus.

The cologne carnival has kept me on the run; more than I expected it to. Continuously I ran around with my camera, made about 1000 shots and taped a small video as well. And if you now wonder where all these pictures ended up; tomorrow a small selection will be published; but not here. Of course I will tell you early enough where you may find them. Right here and right now I introduce Anna, who was inspired by the art of minimalism disguise: with only a few accessories and a litte make-up she expresses disco, as she says. Bravely she pulls off one jackett after another, while I keep asking her what is glittering underneath. So she stands calm and totally cool in the cold, not complaining at all. Certainly I always have my favorite pictures, and the first one is one of them, for sure. I think Anna looks really stunning.

Partypapa

Diese beiden jungen Männer sind Brüder, und beide komplett in des Vaters Sachen eingekleidet. Nur die Schuhe und was sie direkt am Leibe tragen ist ihr eigenes. Im Karneval sind die Begegnungen irgendwie schneller; auch schneller vorbei. Weil ich also nicht gefragt habe ist es nun jedem selbst überlassen darüber zu sinnieren, ob die beiden sich mit dem Bedürfnis einen Ausgleich herstellen zu wollen entschieden haben, Papa's Kleidung quasi nachträglich zum feiern auszuführen. Vielleicht weil er dies selbst zu selten erledigt hat. Oder ob es sich in seinen Sachen besonders gut "op Jück" gehen lässt, wie der Kölner so sagt; weil er so ein Partylöwe war..

These two young men are brothers, and both of them are completely dressed in father's clothes. Only the shoes and the bodywear is their own. Meetings during carnival are easier and faster; as well faster over. So because I didn't ask you may meditate yourself about the question if they wear the father's clothes feeling the need of compensation, catching up on going out, having a good time. Maybe because he rarely did that. Or maybe they feel totally comfortable in his stuff; best party-outfit ever, because papa has been a great partyanimal...

Weiberfastnacht

Nein ich werde jetzt nicht in den nächsten Tagen ein Karnevalskostüm nach dem anderen posten. Aber heute geht er los, der Strassenkarneval in Köln, und das ist schon eine Meldung wert. Seit heute morgen in aller Frühe sehe ich kostümierte Menschen an meinem Fenster vorüberziehen. Diese beiden jungen Frauen begeben sich als Puffmutter und Anstandsdame in die wogende Partywelle. Und ich werde mich jetzt auch mal auf die Reise machen und Ausschau halten nach selbstkreierten Verkleidungen fernab all der Mönche, Lappenclowns und Pippi Langstrumpfs aus dem Kaufhaus...

No, I definitly will not post a stream of carnival-costumes in the next days. But today it begins; the street-carnival, and that's worth an announcement. Since the early morning time I watch costumed and dressed up people walk across my window. These two girls, dressed up as bordello queen and chaperone, are on their way into the party-wave. And now my own little journey starts; searching the selfcreated costumes, apart from all the monks, clowns and Pippi Longstockings bought in the shopping malls...

Schweigsam

Bébé kommt aus Kamerun, lebt in Köln und er ist sehr interessiert an Mode und Kunst. Er hat auch damit zu tun, aber es ist ihm nicht recht geheuer, daß darüber was geschrieben wird, und so muss ich mich in Schweigen hüllen. Weil ich fast gar nichts weiß über Kamerun, forsche ich später ein wenig im Internet nach und bedaure daß ich ihn nicht mehr gefragt habe. Manche Fragen kann man eben erst stellen, wenn ein Minimum an Wissen vorhanden ist...

Bébé is from Kamerun, and lives in cologne. He is very interestd in fashion and arts and he's got do do with it somehow. But he doesn't feel well telling too much about it in the internet and so I have to remain silent about it. I hardly know anything about Kamerun, and so I do my own little research later, beginning to regret, that I didn't ask him enough. Some question can only be asked if there is a minimum of knowledge...

Hahnentritt

Wiebke mag gern Hahnentrittmuster. Zuerst hatte sie den Mantel, dann hat sie Kleid und Mütze gefunden; bei Labude, einem kleinen, feinen Label aus Köln, zu dem die Designerin Julia Kirstein auch den Labude-blog schreibt. Und wer sich für die Ausbildung zur Modedesignerin interessiert kann gleich noch ein Interview mit ihr bei Fahmoda lesen, auf das ich erfreulich- erweise zufällig gestoßen bin. Wiebke kommt ursprünglich aus Hamburg und ist Physiotherapeutin. Sie macht gerade Wunschkindbabypause; Mann und Baby sehen uns beim fotografieren zu.

Wiebke likes the dog's-tooth check. First she got the coat, and then she found the dress and cap at Labude, a nice label in cologne of designer Julia Kirstein, whoalso runs the labude-blog. And anyone who's interested in becoming a fashion-designer can find an interview with her at Fahmoda, which I found by accident. Wiebke originally comes from Hamburg and works as a physiotherapist. She currently is having her planned-child-break; husband and baby are watching us while taking the pictures.

Béla isst grad ein Brötchen, ich steh grad da, und denke:...mal gucken ob mir jemand auffällt. Und so spreche ich ihn an, auch wenn er isst, und erfahre interessantes: Béla ist Künstler. Er zeichnet, übermalt, illustriert und macht Installationen, gerne und immer wieder mit Kassetten. Ein Projekt von ihm heißt Tapemosphere, und darüber und mehr noch findet man auf seiner Website. Seine Jacke ist vom Onkel, auf ihn umgeändert in Tokyo, wo er grade war, seinen Kapuzenpulli trägt er linksrum, weil es sich besser anfühlt, und eine Reminiszenz ans Skaten ist der Schnürsenkelgürtel. Entdeckungsreise

Ramona's Kleidung kann Geschichten erzählen; die Ohrringe sind aus Fisch-schuppen hergestellt, die Schuhe hat sie von ihrer Oma. Den Mantel hat sie Second-hand gekauft, und dann selbst bemalt: "Ich hab's schon immer mit Klamotten gehabt" sagt sie. Ramona ist gelernte Keramikerin und macht auch selbst Schmuck, zB. Ketten aus Keramik. Aber was mich am meisten umhaut ist ihr einmaliges Lachen!

Ramona's clothes can tell storys; the earrings are made of fish-shelters, the shoes are from her grandma. She bought the coat in a vintage-store and painted it herself: "I'm into clothes all along" she says. Ramona is a studied ceramist, and she makes jewelry herself aswell; necklaces from ceramic for example. But what blows me away most is her incredible laugh!

Einfach Sein

Johann ist Holländer und lebt in Amsterdam, wo er als Lehrer und Kindergärtner arbeitet. Seine Grundauffassung ist, die Kinder einfach mal machen zu lassen, und nicht immer zu pushen: "Jaa, die müssen sowieso immer so viel dies und das machen..." sagt er in wunderschönem Holländisch-Deutsch. Sein Schal ist ein selbstgestricktes Geschenk, die Jacke hat Johann aus Italien, und in Köln ist er gerade zur heutigen Ausstellungseröffnung seines Freundes, der gleich neben uns steht; ein Bildhauer aus Berlin, der, wie er selbst sagt, pornografische Reliefs aus homosexueller Sicht fertigt. Mich erinnert es allerdings weniger an Pornografie als an Abbildungen des Kamasutra.

Johann is dutch and lives in Amsterdam, where he works as a teacher and kindergartner. His basic belief is just to let the kids be, and not always to push them:"Yeeah, they ought to do so many things anyway all the time.."he says in wonderful german-dutch slang. His scarf is a hanmade gift, his jackett is from italy, and now Johann is in cologne to join his friends today's exhibition-opening. The friend stands right with us, and is a sculptor from berlin, who, as he himself names it, makes pornographic reliefs from the homosexual point of view. I'm certainly less reminded of pornography than of reproductions of kamasutra.

Knocking on heavens door

Jaqueline hat einen ungewöhnlichen Berufswunsch; sie möchte gerne Bestatterin werden. Und das sagt sie mit einem so frohen Lachen und ganz entspannt. Sie findet den Tod nicht furchterregend; ihrer Meinung nach gehört er zum Leben dazu. Irgendwann hat sie angefangen sich mit diesem Thema auseinander zu setzen, und sie hat Berichte gelesen von Menschen , die "zurückgeholt" wurden, und darüber nicht nur und unbedingt begeistert waren. "Der Tod muss kein Schrecken sein, auch wenn man gerne lebt" sagt sie, bunt angezogen wie sie ist. Sie interessiert sich für Menschen, und kann sich vorstellen, sie auch nach dem Leben zu begleiten. Mich erinnert es an die dynamische Redakteurin, die mir vor einer Weile auch vom Umgang mit dem Tod berichtet hat. Die Begegnung mit Jaqueline hat ihr ganz eigenes Echo, und wer Lust hat Filme zum Thema zu sehen; eine interssante Liste gibt's hier.

Jaqueline has an uncommon carrer aspiration; she'd like to be a mortician. She says that with such a warm smile, and totally relaxed. Death is not fearsome to her, it belongs to live, in her opinion. Some day she started to face up to this topic, and she has red reports about people who were reanimated, not being only and absolutely happy about it. "Death hasn't to be a scare, even if you love your live" she says, dressed colorful. She is interested in people and can imagine to accompanie them to their very end. I'm reminded at the dynamic editor, who told me about handling the death weeks ago.
